If you love to wear makeup, have a skincare routine, and enjoy using cosmetic products, then you know how important it is to find beauty products that align with your personal beliefs.

Whether you want yours to be vegan, cruelty free or ethical, we have you covered. The important thing is finding the clarity from your favorite brands, with transparency when it comes to the ingredients they use, and the processes they implement.

Pixi Beauty is a popular beauty brand, known for its impressive line of skincare products. We personally cannot live without Pixi Beauty’s iconic Glow Tonic:

This tonic truly is a wonder product that has really put Pixi as a brand on the map.

However, Pixi has been creating skincare products for over 20 years, from its humble beginnings in Soho London, to becoming a worldwide success, sold by retailers across the globe.

The company’s mission has remained the same after all those years, striving to ‘bring out the natural beauty in everyone- to look like you, your best you.’

The company was made by its founder, Petra, a makeup artist and product developer with over 20 years of experience, who is passionate about skincare. Pixi therefore strives to create innovative formulas infused with botanicals and beneficial ingredients for your skin. But is the company cruelty free?

Is Pixi Cruelty Free?

Pixi Beauty has confirmed that the company is 100% completely cruelty free, and is committed to employing cruelty free processes in their manufacturing and production.

This means that Pixi does not test the ingredients that they use on animals, nor do they test the finished products on animals post production.

In addition, Pixi does not allow their suppliers or any third parties to test their products on any animals at any point during or after production.

What is even better news is that Pixi Beauty does not even sell their products in countries or places where animal testing is required by law, and so the company is 100% comitted to creating cruelty free products, and selling only in places where cruelty free processes and procedures are in place.

Is Pixi Vegan?

Whilst Pixi Beauty is completely cruelty free, not all of their products are 100% vegan friendly, but there are many, many of their products that are.

The good thing is, Pixi Beauty are very clear and offers a lot of transparency when it comes to showcasing what ingredients that they use in their products, so that it is easy for vegan consumers to differentiate which ones are suitable for themselves and which are not.

Luckily, there is a good range of vegan friendly products made by Pixi Beauty, including their cult favorite Glow Tonic.

In addition, there are a myriad of vegan skincare products that you can try from Pixi including the Beauty Sleep Cream, Double Cleanse, Glow Mud Cleanser, Glow Mud Mask, Glow Peel Pads, H20 Skindrink, Hydrating Milky Serum, Overnight Glow Serum, Peel & Polish, Retinol Tonic, Rose Oil Blend, and those are just to name a few of the fan favorites!

Pixi also have an extensive range of vegan makeup products that you can try out including the: Beauty Blush Duo, Brow Duo, Beauty Bronzer, Cat Eye Ink, Cheek Brush, Color Correcting Powder Foundation, Flawless & Poreless Primer, Flawless Finishing Powder, Glowy Powder and H20 Skin Tint.

Many of these products are what makes Pixi so popular, so it is worth trying a few, or finding ones that align with your vegan values and lifestyle.

Is Pixi An Ethical Company?

You may be wondering if Pixi is an ethical company, and what their policies are. As a brand, Pixi does not allow any ingredients, formulations or their finished products to be tested on animals anywhere in the world.

In addition, they do not sell products in places where animal testing is mandatory, and they offer a large range of vegan products. It is for this reason that many could argue that Pixi is an ethical company.

In conjunction with this, Pixi Beauty states that they ask their suppliers to use only ingredients that have been sustainably and ethically sourced, but it is unclear as to where or how they gain their ingredients.

In a statement from the brand, they said: ‘We always ask our suppliers to use ingredients that have been ethically and sustainably sourced. We also only work with suppliers that follow Good Manufacturing Practices standards as implemented by the FDA.’

However, Pixi does not claim to be 100% sustainable or committed to environmental change, and there is not a lot of information on their website concerning their policies towards sustainability.

Does Pixi Test On Animals?

No, Pixi does not test on animals, and none of the ingredients, formulas or finished products are tested on animals, anywhere across the globe.

This also means that Pixi does not allow their suppliers to test on animals, or any ingredients that have been tested on animals to be used in their brand.

In addition, Pixi have clarified that they do not have any third parties involved to test on their behalf either, and they choose not to sell their products in Mainland China, or any other countries that require animal testing by law.

Are Pixi Products Toxic?

One of the main messages behind Pixi by Petra’s brand is that the products are meant to make your skin look better, feel better, and bring out the best in you.

Also, the company strives to implement natural botanicals, and infuse the products with healthy ingredients and substances that will make your skin look glowing, healthy and youthful.

In addition, according to the Good Face Project, Pixi Beauty is considered a clean brand based on the standards set forth in 2020, as they do not use toxic ingredients.

The company also claims to be all natural, and states that they do not use parabens or nasty ingredients that can be toxic or harmful to the skin.
